Chris Birch
Director
I have spent the past 20+ years in the domestic building industry working on extensions, renovations and new homes. It has been an amazing adventure.
As a carpenter, I learnt all there is to know about building custom home projects by working with a hands on approach and completing a certificate IV in Building and Construction.
With this experience under my belt, I became committed to climbing the construction ladder and making the move into the supervising side of the industry.
Using the knowledge I gained through carpentry, I was able to transition into this type of role quickly and began supervising extensions and renovations for a medium-density builder.
I then moved into the volume building industry working on multiple homes. It was here where I truly learned the scheduling side of building, through coordinating trades and dealing directly with a range of clients.
Out of all that I have taken from this journey, customer satisfaction was and still is the most important aspect of any build.
Now, Guy and I run our business together and we are loving it, joining forces to give you the best of what we have learned and achieved.
Guy Douglas
Director
l started my Company – Guy Douglas Constructions P/L – in 1998, and have now been building new homes and working on renovations and extensions for more than a decade.
As a professional, I have always enjoyed the challenges of all aspects of building, from meeting clients to estimating and supervising projects.
In 2007, I took a contract role as a Project Manager for a large builder, where I worked with a number of systems, as well as learnt key skills and insights.
Seven years ago l started building again, refreshed, but this time with a business partner Chris Birch who l trust and have known for many years.
Together, we focus on extensions and renovations as we are professionals in both carpentry and supervision, this approach has seen a number of exciting project come our way, which has been a lot of fun.
